Fishers in Kliģi lake focus more on catch and release! principle, which means releasing the caught fish back into the wild, but if you want, you can also take your catch home or cook it on the spot! Fish to be kept in the bag: carp 3 pieces (weighing less than 3.5 kg each) Carps above the norm must be paid – 4.50 EUR per kg. The other species – according to the Fishing Regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia.

Rowing boat rental – 5.00 € / hour
The permit gives the opportunity to fish in the Kliģu lake during the time specified in the permit, to keep 3 carp (not larger than 3.5 kg) and other fish in accordance with the Fishing Regulations of LR.
According to the legislation of the Republic of Latvia, a national fishing card is mandatory when fishing in the waters of the Republic of Latvia, including in licensed fishing places.
- For non-compliance with these rules or for disobeying the requirements of the responsible employees of the recreation complex, visitors are obliged to immediately pay the set FINE of 70 euros, as well as to leave the territory of the recreation complex. Compensation for unused rest time is not paid in this case!
- Going to the boardwalks is allowed only after purchasing a fishing license (regardless of the time of day);
- Cars and other means of transport are allowed to be parked only in specially designated parking spaces;
- It is forbidden to use any chemical detergents in the water and in the coastal area;
- Boats must be at base from sunset to sunrise;
- Fish to be kept in the bag: carp 3 pieces (weighing less than 3.5 kg each) For carp over 3 pcs. norms must be paid 4.50 EUR per kg. The other species – according to the Fishing Regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia.
- At the end of the fishing session, each angler must present and weigh the catch before going to the car;
- The lake management staff has the right to check the contents of the fishermen’s belongings, including guests who are with the fishermen, at their discretion and without additional justification;
- It is not allowed to arbitrarily move the tables or other equipment placed by the footbridges;
- Catch and release anglers should be equipped with large cloth storage bags. In case of fish death, the fisher must pay compensation of EUR 10 per 1 kg of fish weight;
